At NC State, Qualtrics is designed to be a do-it-yourself tool for creating and distributing online surveys. The Office of Institutional Research and Planning would like to help as much as possible, but unfortunately we do not have the resources to provide individualized Qualtrics training. Qualtrics Support offers online tutorials and videos covering virtually every aspect of learning and using Qualtrics. It is the best resource available for all users – – from beginners to those with advanced experience! Topics covered include, but are not limited to:
- Building a survey (e.g., creating and formatting questions, display and skip logic, setting the look and feel of your survey)
- Distributing a survey (e.g., generating a survey link, uploading a survey population file, emailing your survey)
- Reporting (e.g., viewing responses, downloading data, creating tables and graphs)
Tip: Beginning and novice users should start by watching the “Learn to Build” videos.
NC State Qualtrics Users Group
Office of Institutional Research and Planning has created a Google Group, similar to a listserv, where members can ask and respond to questions about Qualtrics. The group is open to everyone at NC State. To sign up simply click on the ‘Groups’ tab in Gmail, type in ‘Qualtrics’ in the search bar, then when ‘Qualtrics Users Group’ comes up, click on ‘join group.’ To contact the group with a question or tip, email email@example.com
NC State Qualtrics Communications
The Office of Institutional Research and Planning periodically sends emails to users registered under the University brand to communicate important information related to Qualtrics and their accounts. A log of these messages can be found here.
Supplemental Reference Materials
